2014 Krasnoyarsk VBS Update
July 1st, 2014 News 1 Comment

The Lord blessed our week of VBS here in the city of Krasnoyarsk. The weather, while hot, was perfect each day and we were able to hold all the games outside as planned. Our numbers were about the same as previous years. We had a total of 31 kids register throughout the week with 7 visitors! The spirit and atmosphere was great — the kids really enjoyed the program and we had several mothers and grandmothers stay for the entire day as well!

Our coworkers, James and Amber Pranger, put together a short video of highlights throughout the week, which they have graciously allowed us to post on our website for your enjoyment. You can view the video on our VIDEOS page in the ministry videos section.

I will be posting a photo album of the week soon, so be sure to check our PHOTOS page for updated pix of the preparations, decorations and activities of the week.

Thank you to all who prayed for this week, as it was evident that the Lord was working throughout the week. One little boy who came enjoyed the week so much that he and his mom both have promised to come back to Sunday School and church next week!

Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare to take the VBS programs to the villages starting Wednesday, July 2. Our schedule for the village VBS weeks is as follows:

July 2 – July 6        Atamanovo
July 9 – July 13      Shila
July 16 – July 20   13 Bartsov

Pray for our safety in travels as we drive there and back each day. Pray that the Lord will work and use the VBS as a booster shot to generate more excitement for the Sunday School programs in these villages. Pray that those who hear the lessons each day would understand the simplicity of the Gospel and realize their need of a Savior.

Exciting to hear how the Lord is using VBS. Continuing to pray for you as you continue through out this month. May the Lord give you added strength and safety and many who will understand the Gospel message and accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
