Update #16 on Barry Northcutt – Finally Home
December 28th, 2018 News 22 Comments

On Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 6:15pm, Dad’s faith finally became sight as he closed his eyes for the last time on this earth and opened them in heaven to behold his Saviour face to face.  Although not able to move or communicate with us these past few days, today, as Dad took his last breath, a smile spread across his face as he exited this earth and stepped into the presence of his Lord.

Thank you for your prayers thus far, and we covet your prayers even more during this difficult time of transition and adjustment. At this point arrangements have not yet been made, but we will let you know as soon as possible once they are finalized.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. We think fondly about our time together. We have been remembering specific things about our time together with your family the past few days. We spent many hours in the ministry together at Victory Baptist Church and School. All good times. Remember the household moves. Us helping your family move and your family helping us move all the way to Ohio. Your Dad was a master packer. All of that experience in the Coast Guard, I guess. Looking forward to renewing our friendship in heaven shortly where we will never have to leave each other again.Praying for your mom. What a great saint she is!

Doubtless is it true that Mr. Barry Northcutt was a man overflowing with expression of joy. I have difficulty recalling memories of sighting him without a smile on his face and a joke up his sleeve. Mr. Northcutt certainly dealt with problems, but he never let those problems disrupt the joy and godliness of his public countenance. Truly, the greatest men of God are often the faithful left unlit by the spotlight. But it is also true that it is not the man of God that is so great as the God of the man.

Mr. Barry Northcutt left as a noble and inspiring “example of the believers” who will be missed by many until we Christians shall all one day rejoice together in Heaven, worshipping at our Savior’s feet–the feet of the One Whom all is really about.
